"This family-run company makes hi-vis jackets for cyclists and motorcyclists - there's even a personal endorsement from actor/round the world motorcyclist Ewan McGregor on the website. Stranger still (and quite coincidentally), their HQ is in Dorchester, just around the corner from A to B Towers.

The Windshirt is a cagoule by any other name, and comes in ripstop nylon rather than high-tech Gore Tex, so ventilation is taken care of by low-tech holes in the armpits. However, that's reflected in the price, and in any case, the WindShirt is packed with useful features, like a chest pocket big enough to hold an OS map. As the Urban Glow name suggests, there are strategically placed reflective patches, but it's not overdone, and the dayglo strips on the cuffs (good for hand signals) can be tucked away, to cut out the dork factor when off the bike. There's also a neat fold away hood (nothing worse than getting your perm soggy) and nice big tags for the quality zip. The Windshirt folds into itself, though there's no strap, so you can't carry it like a bumbag. Unobtrusive, well made and good value. And Made in England. Still can't get over that!"
